Disastrous Pie

I just made another disastrous pie–maybe I should give up pastry and stick to writing. It definitely pays better. I’m a “throw things in the pot and hope for the best” sort of cook, even in my finer moments.

    Hi Deb,

It’s your cousin here! I love your website! And I love this entry in particular, being able to relate somewhat. What is it about the women in our family that made us such horrible cooks? I’m still trying!

Hope to see you in 2008!

  • Just wanted to connect your journal entry “Dogs in Motion” with “Disastrous Pie”. We rescued a tri-color Sheltie (6 yrs old) just before Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving day upon opening the door for guests I heard a “klunk”. Turning to the kitchen, our rescue dog Audie (named after Audie Murphy), was gobbling up a pecan pie. He had pulled the pie down to the floor and ate the whole thing before I could get to him. When I screamed at him, he was a “Dog in Motion”.

Am trying to get this to work. I tried to send yesterday. Want to tell you about a pecan pie episode.

  • I enjoyed reading this blog, thank you.
